 Admission to XI starts from today: Classes will be online

The admission process for the students in class XI has started from today (September 13). It will run until September 18.  
In addition, online classes are being started for the newly admitted students in class XI to continue their educational activities during the school-college closure due to the Corona situation.
According to the Inter-Education Coordinating Board, classes for class XI students will start in the first week of October. And with the aim of starting online classes, the textbooks of class XI will be available in the market from October 1. 
Earlier, the inter-education board coordinator Professor. Ziaul Haque told the media that the online classes will continue due to the Corona situation. After that, when the educational institution opens, normal classes will start.
According to the decision of the committee, the students will be admitted in the college till September 18. The government has already published the policy for this. Two separate notifications have also been issued on September 6. 
It instructed that students in MPO registered educational institutions in the municipal area cannot collect a total of one thousand rupees for admission, two thousand rupees in the municipal (district headquarters) area and three thousand rupees in other metropolitan areas except Dhaka metropolis.
Besides, no more than Tk 5,000 can be collected for admission in MPO registered educational institutions in Dhaka metropolitan area. For the development of partial MPO or non-MPO educational institutions in the Dhaka metropolitan area and for the payment of salaries and allowances to non-MPO teachers, a maximum of Tk.
No college in the development sector will be able to collect more than one and a half thousand rupees this time. Last year there was 3 thousand rupees in this sector. The board has reduced this fee due to the Corona situation. In addition, the Red Crescent fee has been reduced by 40 percent to 12 rupees. If a student has a break and is admitted late, 150 rupees and 100 rupees can be collected respectively. Government colleges have to collect fees as per government circular.
This time the students who have passed the SSC and equivalent examinations in three steps apply for admission. About 14 lakh students have applied for admission. This year 16 lakh 90 thousand 523 people have passed SSC and equivalent examinations.
The total number of text books for higher secondary is 39. Among these, Bangla, English and Bangla textbooks are officially published. This time the book on information and communication technology is also available in the market from private publishers as well as books from the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).
Earlier, due to the ongoing corona situation, the application for admission in class XI started online at 8 am on August 9. It lasted till August 20.
